A British actor, born in Huyton, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom, as Reginald Carey Harrison. He received two stars on the Walk of Fame in 1960 for his film and television work. In 1964, he won the NBR Award for the 1963 movie Cleopatra. In 1965, he won the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, the David di Donatello Award, and the Golden Laurel Award for the movie My Fair Lady (1964). He started his artistic career at the age of 18 when he joined the Liverpool Rep Theatre. He remained a theater actor until the mid-thirties when he began appearing in British films. He passed away on June 2, 1990 in New York City, USA.
