A director and producer, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom in 1957. Hamm spent many years working for the Royal Shakespeare Company, focusing on Shakespeare as well as contemporary playwrights, including Howard Parker and Arthur Miller. He won a BAFTA Award for his film based on a story by Chekhov, after which he turned to film and television. Among his most famous works are The Hole (2001), Killing Bono (2011), Full Circle (2013-2015), and Driven (2018), the latter of which participated in international festivals, including the Venice International Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival, and received critical acclaim for the performances.
