An American writer and producer, born on May 10, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He went to Brown University, where he studied English literature, and before beginning his work, he attended a Harvard graduate program during the summer on book and magazine publishing. His first published works were The 80s: A Look Back and The Official Preppy Handbook, which became a New York Times bestseller. He co-wrote several Disney productions. His notable works are The Lion King (1994), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), and James and the Giant Peach (1996).
