She obtained a doctorate with honors from the Open University of Islamic Civilization in literary studies and research from the Faculty of Heritage and Letters in 2006. She obtained a postgraduate Diploma from Kuwait University in 2007. She received a master's degree from Kuwait University in 2008, and her thesis entitled "The Relationship of Space and Time in Kuwaiti Women's Stories". She became a member of the Writers Association in Kuwait, the Association of Sociologists. and the Human Rights Association, the Supreme Council for the Disabled, the Women's Cultural Association, and the Kuwait Journalists Association. She won many awards for the activities of the Qurain Cultural Festival on behalf of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters. She obtained an honorary award from the Arab Pioneers Festival held in Cairo under the auspices of the Arab League in 2000 for its pioneering role in researching and documenting women's writings.
