A well-known Egyptian media personality and presenter, born in Cairo in 1936. He began working on Egyptian television in 1970. He was the first to record interviews with major Egyptian and international figures such as Taha Hussein, Najib Mahfouz, African leader Nelson Mandela, and King Constantine II of Greece. His best-known programs include "Welcome", "Letters and Thousands", and "Autograph". He died on 14 June 2013, at age 77. |
