German actor, born on February 4, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is the son of actor Horst Buchholz and actress Myriam Bru. His first major role was in the 1986 movie, The Plot to Kill the Pope, for which he won the best new actor award at the Florence Film Festival. He became famous in Germany through the series Das Erbe der Guldenburgs. He is fluent in English, French, Italian and German. He also directed the one-act plays The Marriage Proposal, and The Bear.
