Ema Shah was born on July 7, 1981 in Kuwait to a Kuwaiti father and an Iranian mother. She has worked as a singer, composer, dancer, pianist and guitarist. She has also acted in theater and cinema, and worked in directing and writing. She started her artistic career as a founder of the Anthropology team, through which she presented her first play The Prophet, by Gibran Khalil Gibran. She won many awards at international film festivals, the most important of which is the Best International Short Film Award at North Hollywood CineFest.
