David Wain is an actor, author, and producer, born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, United States on August 1, 1969, as David Benjamin Wain. He met some members of The State while he was a film student at New York University, from which he graduated in 1991. David went on to work with his band partners on several other projects including The Stella Show (2005). His first film as co-writer and director was Wet Hot American Summer (2001), which later turned into two series on Netflix. David is married to Zandy Hartig, with whom he has two children. He is famous for the movie Role Models (2008), and the series Medical Police (2020).
