Shaimaa Saied |
An Australian writer, born in Gladstone, Australia. He left Knox Grammar School at the age of sixteen before being called up into the army at 18 years old, and going to Japan, where he served with the radio unit. He began writing for television in the United Kingdom after returning to civilian life. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his contributions to the arts, particularly screenwriting, and was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for the year 2001. His works include Harriet's Back in Town (1972), The Liquidator (1965) and Reunion Day (1962).
