British writer and director, born on October 10, 1929 in Surrey, United Kingdom. His career lasted 43 years, in which he directed only three films. One of which achieved great fame, which is The Wicker Man (1973). His other two films were The Fantasist (1986), and The Wicker Tree (2011). He tried to raise money to produce a finale to his loose Wicker Man trilogy titled The Wrath of the Gods, but failed. He passed away on 1 July 2016 in Reading, United Kingdom.
