Egyptian singer from Qena, Egypt who sang in Alexandria starting from the early 1960s. He worked in architecture but quit in pursuit of a career in music. He sang some of the most renowned songs in Alexandria. He married fellow singer Rouh El Fouad and they had a son, Essam, who also later became a singer.
