An Albanian director, writer, and producer, born in Tirana, Albania. He holds an MFA in Film and Electronic Media from the American University in Washington, D.C. He is best known for The Forgiveness of Blood, which he co-wrote with Joshua Marston, for which he won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay at the 2011 Berlin International Film Festival. His other works include Contromano (2015) and Një Sy Mbyllur (2015).
