He traveled to Czechoslovakia and obtained a master’s degree in theatrical and television...Read more directing from the Academy of Performing Arts with distinction in 1977, and then returned to Baghdad and lectured at the Institute of Fine Arts on acting and directing theories. His first directing work was the play Oedipus the King (1969). He prepared and directed the story of the Greatest of Sins by Yousef Idris for his graduation thesis, and translated the play Aphrodite Island (1980). His credits include Mother of Fighters (1982) and Family Photos (1983).
