Lee J. Cobb was an American actor, born on December 8, 1911 in New York. He was gifted in playing both the violin and harmonica. This talent was the reason to put him on the road to success. His debut was in Borrah Minevitch and His Harmonica Rascals, but it wasn't a success. He tried his luck again but on Broadway this time, and he presented Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. Afterwards, he made his big-screen acting debut in Men of Boys Town (1941). He's known for On the Waterfront (1954), 12 Angry Men (1957), The Brothers Karamazov (1958), and The Exorcist (1973). He died of a heart attack in Woodland Hills, California, on February 11, 1976, at the age of 64.
