Yves Montand was an Italian actor and singer, born in Monsummano Terme, Italy, 1921. He moved to France in 1923 and stared to work in bars as a singer, after which he broke into the entertainment field. He gained recognition through his appearance in Gates of the Night (1946). He married Simone Signoret in 1951. He died in 1991 form a heart attack. |
