American writer, director, and producer born on 5 July 1958 in Scituate, Massachusetts, United States. He went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst for four years before dropping out to pursue theater full-time. Before pursuing a career in Hollywood, he founded a theater troupe called Young People's Summer Theatre who performed Broadway numbers. He went on to write several successful works including Analyze This (1999), Analyze That (2001), Bedazzled (2000), America's Sweethearts (2001), and the TV series Rescue Me (2004-2011). |
