Actor, producer and director, he was born in Santa Barbara, on July 19, 1962. His father encouraged him to act at the age of sixteen, and prompted him to attend a summer workshop in London, before graduating from high school. After returning to the United States, Edwards worked in commercials. Edwards graduated from the University of Southern California, with a BA in Drama. He married Jeanine LaBelle , and had four children. Edwards owns a production company, Aviator Films. Among his most famous works are: Revenge of the Nerds in 1984, Top Gun in 1986, ER from 1994-2008, and Flipped in 2010. |
