Sarah Silverman is an American comedienne, writer, actress, singer, producer and musician. She boldly tackles taboo subjects such as sexism, sexuality, racism and religion in her comedy. She started out writing for "Saturday Night Live" in the 1990s, then appeared on HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob and David" (1995). She broke into features with "Bulworth" (1998) and the classic "There's Something About Mary" (1998). Silverman starred in and produced "The Sarah Silverman Program" from 2007-2010. Silverman dated late-night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel from 2002 to 2009. She earned comedy points for her racy stand-up film, "Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic" (2005), though her brand of crude satire rubbed many the wrong way, particularly with her riffs on racial and ethnic stereotypes. Her other film credits include "Heartbreakers" (2001), "The School of Rock" (2003) and "Wreck-It Ralph" (2012).
