An American director, producer, and author, born on February 5, 1948 in New York. He won an Academy Award in 2004 for the documentary The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara. Among his works are: The Thin Blue Line, Fast, Cheap & Out of Control and Standard Operating Procedure.
