Sylvia Jefferies is an American actress from Greenwood, South Carolina. She studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and found work early on in commercials and in stage productions. She's best known for her recurring role as Tracy on HBO's "Eastbound & Down" (2009-2010). She's also starring in the country music drama series "Nashville." She plays the drug addict mother of an up-and-coming country pop star, played by Hayden Panettiere. She's also had small roles in "The Notebook" (2004), "Deja Vu" (2006) and "96 Minutes" (2011).
