Jamaican author and singer, born in Kingston, Jamaica, is the daughter of Jamaican reggae music icon Bob Marley. She is not following in her father's footsteps but rather moving forward in fashion design. She began designing clothes when she was on tour with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, a musical group composed of her brothers and sisters, and her clothes, which bore the brand name Catch a Fire, were launched. In 2001, these designs included bohemian fashions with bright colors and prints. In February 2011, it was announced that she would be designing athletes' uniforms for the 2012 Olympic Games. She has also appeared in films such as The Mighty Quinn (1989) and Klash (1995).
