A Taiwanese director and writer, born on August 16, 1969, in Tainan County. He is known for Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale I (2011) and Qiyue tian (1999). He won a special mention by the Alcan Dragons and Tigers Award for Young Cinema at the Vancouver International Film Festival. His movie Cape No. 7 won the Grand Prize at the 2008 Taipei Film Festival, the Grand Prize at the 4th Japan's Asian Marine Film Festival, as well as the Halekulani Golden Orchid Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 28th Hawaii International Film Festival. |
