Scott Rudin is an American film and theater producer. He started his career as an assistant theater producer, and after attending college, he became a casting director and started up his own company. His company cast numerous Broadway shows, including Mike Nichols' “Annie” in 1977, and also films like The Wanderers (1979) and Resurrection (1980). Throughout his career, Rudin produced a very wide variety of films, from Hollywood mainstream box-office hits, to widely distributed arthouse films. His huge body of works includes: Ransom (1996), The Truman Show (1998), Bringing Out the Dead (1999), Rules of Engagement (2000), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), School of Rock (2003), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), I Heart Huckabees (2004), The Queen (2006), Revolutionary Road (2008), Captain Phillips (2013) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). He is the first producer ever who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, and Oscar and a Tony award altogether.
