A German actress, born in Hamburg, Germany to actor Bernd Herzsprung and fashion designer Barbara Engel. She studied media at the University of Vienna, Austria, but left her studies in order to continue her cinematic career. She began her career in 1998 after appearing in the TV movie Ein Fleisch und Blut. Her other credits include The Reader (2008) and Who Am I (2014).
