He was ranked No. 59 on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and was nominated for Breakout Composer of the Year in 2007 by the International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA). He is the composer of several Paul Thomas Anderson films, such as The Master (2012), There Will Be Blood (2007), and Phantom Thread (2017).
