Maryam Nouhy |
Egyptian singer born in 1964. She finished high school then enrolled in the High Institute of Arab Music and graduated in 1987. She was also a member of the prestigious Umm Kulthum musical troupe, for which she performed classic songs. She was discovered by composer Ammar El Sherei, who made her join his band later to be known as "The Friends" which consisted of her in addition to Mona Abd El Ghani and Alaa Abdel Khalek. She produced three successful albums with the band. She then focused on her solo career and toured many countries like France, UK, US, and the Arab World. She appeared on the TV series And the Circles Turn (1989).
