An American cinematographer, born on April 7, 1921, in Cripple Creek, Colorado. He started his career in the late sixties. Among his most famous films are Jaws (1975), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), and Grease (1978). He married twice, the first to Alma Smith in 1943, with whom he had three children, but they were separated in 1983, then he married actress Iris Butler in 1984, with whom he had two children. |
