An Egyptian poet and writer. She was the wife of musician Ali Ismael. Her real name is Souad Wagdy. She started working as a monologist and has several monologues. She is considered the first female poet to venture into songwriting in Egypt. Among the most famous are the Ramadan songs that she wrote and sang with the El Tholathy El Mareh, such as "Aho Geh Ya Walad" and "Bring the Lanterns," composed and sung by Mohamed Fawzy. She also has several patriotic songs that many listeners memorize, such as "Raheen Shayleen Fe Idina Silah" and the song "Umm Al Batal" by Sherifa Fadel. The late poet also wrote many songs for great artists such as Shadia, Mohamed Fawzi, Fayza Ahmed, and Mohamed Al Ezaby. She died on January 14, 1988, in Cairo, Egypt.
