An American writer and journalist, born in Massachusetts, USA. He worked as a clinical social worker and supervisor at a Harvard University-affiliated hospital. During a short vacation in Los Angeles, he conducted an interview with director Alfred Hitchcock, which became the last published interview with the director before his death in 1980. The interview was published in The Real Paper and distributed internationally. He moved to California and wrote regularly for many American magazines and papers, such as American Film. He's known for the book "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho", which was adapted into the film Hitchcock (2012).
