An Iraqi actor, born in Baghdad. He studied photography and cinematography in Budapest, Hungary. He has worked as a producer and director on numerous television productions and as a cinematographer on feature films. He directed and produced short and documentary films, including The Train, The Land of Desolation, and The Man Who Never Rests. He also produced and directed the feature film, Leaving Baghdad (2011), which won the first prize at the Dubai Film Festival, the British Independent Film Award, and was shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He also directed the film Stories of Passers Through (2017), which won many awards. The film's events were filmed over 30 years, and it participated in many international festivals around the world.
