American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, United States. The beginning of his artistic career was in 1937, but he did not achieve great success until he participated in the movie The Gray Fox (1982), and The Straight Story (1999). He was suffering from bone cancer in his last days, which made him almost incapacitated. His illness led him to commit suicide by shooting himself on October 6, 2000, in Lincoln, New Mexico, United States. |
