A Syrian qanun player, born to Palestinian-Syrian writer Hassan Samy Youssef. She began learning to play at the age of ten at the Solhi Alwadi Institute of Music in Damascus, and after she obtained a high school diploma, she joined the Higher Institute of Music.
During her studies, she and her classmates formed the first female band called The Syrian Women’s Oriental Takht, but after graduating from the Higher Institute, she was forced to leave the band due to her travel abroad, and she continued her musical activity as a solo qanun player, recording her musical works that combine the eastern and western styles. Her acting credits include Come on Boys, Come on Girls (2015) and The Levant's Fragrance S1 (2016).
