A Polish director, born in Lviv, Ukraine. After graduating in 1974 from the National Film School in Łódź, he began working as an assistant director, then went on to direct films such as Screen Tests (1977), Andrzej Wajda (1978), The Big Race (1981), and The Fifth Season of the Year (2012). In the late 1980s, he moved to Australia and in 1988 was appointed Resident Director at the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney. |
