A German-American actor, born in Germany to an aristocratic family from Pomerania. After graduating from high school, he studied music in Berlin and also worked as an actor before moving to New York in 1937, where he worked as a pianist in bars and nightclubs, and then he found his way to the cinema screen. Some of his credits are Five Graves to Cairo (1943) and The Wages of Fear (1953). |
