An Egyptian TV presenter, whose distinctive voice was associated with the most famous television program, The Animal World. He was also among the first presenters to host a news talk show on TV, which is Good Morning, Egypt. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of History, in 1965, joined the Egyptian Radio, and worked in programs with underlying political agendas from 1966 to 1970. His role as a military correspondent on the battlefront in the October War of 1973 earned him the Sinai Star. In 1974, he turned to Egyptian television, where he presented the news. He reached the position of Vice President of the news sector and taught at the Faculty of Mass Communication. He died after falling in his house, breaking his foot, and suffering a stroke. He appeared in cameos in several productions, including Tears in Bold Eyes, and License to Kill.
