A distinguished poet, born in 1932. He continued his primary studies at the Monastery of the Mukhles, then completed his lessons in Zahle and Beirut. He worked in agriculture with his father, then joined the Lebanese army in the Cavalry Division. He was married to Antoinette El Helou, and had 4 kids. He joined the Lebanese Radio in 1956 and headed the Representative Programs and Variety Department, and was a member of the Texts Selection Committee. He joined the French Society of Composers, Composers and Music Publishers (SACIME), and became an honorary member of it when 50 years passed since his affiliation with it. His first book, Marwan and Salwa, was published in 1954, and his last book, Last Time was published in 2005. He died after a two-year struggle with illness on August 27, 2010.
