She made her screenwriting debut with "Paper Heart," a quasi-documentary about a budding romance. She produced, wrote and starred in the film opposite Michael Cera. It won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. In 2011, she landed a recurring role on the popular medical drama "House" alongside Hugh Laurie. She plays one of the doctors on his team. Her other film credits include "Cloverfield" (2008), "Semi-Pro" (2008) and "This Is 40" (2012).
