Jack Palance is an American actor who was born on February 18, 1919 in Lattimer, Eastern Pennsylvania to a family of Ukrainian immigrants. He participated in more than eighty films in which he mainly played the role of the villain or the hired killer, as he was greatly helped by his harsh facial features. Balance won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the Western comedy City Slickers, co-starring Billy Crystal. He acted in the movies Che! (1969), The Swan Princess (1994), and Batman (1989). |
