A director and writer, he was born in South Korea on September 14, 1969. He co-wrote his first film, Motel Cactus (2000), followed by the Memories of a Murderer (1997) and The Host (2006). For his movie Parasite, he won three Oscars for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture.
