An Egyptian lawyer, member of the Egyptian Bar Association, and former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, born in Sharqia Governorate in 1957. He began his political career as a member of the Wafd Party and then joined Muslim Brotherhood, becoming one of its leaders. He contributed to the Brotherhood’s successes in the Bar Association and then disagreed with the Muslim Brotherhood after the imprisonment of Mukhtar Noah, which resulted in his separation from the organization in 2002. His separation witnessed widespread reactions as he wrote many articles criticizing the practical approach of the Muslim Brotherhood.
He is known for his writings for many Egyptian newspapers, including Al-Dustour newspaper. He wrote a number of research papers and studies, as well as many books criticizing the Muslim Brotherhood and disclosing their conspiracies, such as "The Secret of the Temple The Hidden Secrets of the Muslim Brotherhood" (2012). He wrote The Secret Organization, which was later adapted into a radio series.
