Turkish cinematographer and director, born in 1972 in Istanbul. He started his career in 1991 as a photographer at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. He worked between 1991 and 1996 as a cameraman in television films and documentaries. Since 1996, he has produced several feature-length, and best cinematography award-winning films. He was one of the first Turkish directors to be elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that chose the Oscars in 2016. He got married to the broadcaster Begüm Bagca Tiryaki on September 1, 2020. His works, include: Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, Winter Sleep, and The Butterfly's Dream. |
