An American comedian, born in Yonkers, New York, to Jewish immigrant parents of Polish origins. His real name is Isaac Sidney Caesar. After completing high school in 1939, he left the family home to work as a guard at a theater in Manhattan, but he found it difficult to continue living like this, so he moved to a hotel where he worked as a saxophone player, where he trained in dancing and acting, and he performed three times a week. He is known for Your Show of Shows (1950–1954), which was a 90-minute weekly show watched by 60 million people. He then followed it up with the comedy series Caesar's Hour. His other works include It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) and Grease (1978). He was nominated for an Emmy Award 11 times and won it twice. He got married to Florence Cesare in 1943, they remained together until she died in 2010, and they had three children together. He died on February 12, 2014 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California.
