An American actor and singer, born in the city of Omaha, in the American state of Nebraska. He was famous for his performances with his sister on Broadway theaters in New York State. After his sister retired, he turned to acting in 1933 and became known for singing and dancing, especially in his films with actress Ginger Rogers, who helped him control his rhythmic dancing movements. Among his most famous films are Funny Face (1957) and On the Beach (1959).
