An American writer, born in the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. As a writer and theater director, he caught the attention of film producers in Hollywood through what he presented in Broadway theaters in New York. The writers Frederick Hugh Harbert and George Abbott adapted his novel Those We Love into a movie of the same name in 1932. He also co-wrote the play Men Must Fight with the writer Reginald Lawrence, which was also turned into a movie in 1933. |
