An American screenwriter, born on February 11, 1908 in New York City. His artistic career began in cinema. He collaborated with directors William Wheeler and John Huston, founders of the Writer's Guild of America. Among his most notable works are The Agony and the Ecstasy (1965), and The Rains Came (1939). During the last years of his life, he worked as a columnist for the Los Angeles Times and Time magazine. He died on June 2, 1992 of cancer in Malibu, California, USA. |
