He was the younger brother of director Arthur Rosson and the older brother of actress Helene Rosson and director of photography Harold Rosson, who won an Academy Award. As an actor, he debuted in Selecting His...Read more Heiress (1911), and he made his directorial debut by co-directing Her Father's Keeper (1917) with his brother Arthur. Among his most notable works are The Wizard (1927) and Behind the Headlines (1937). He was arrested on charges of espionage in Vienna, Austria, with his wife, Vera Sisson, and two other British citizens, allegedly for filming military hardware, and they were released shortly after.
