Gys de Villiers is a South African actor, voice artist and sculptor best known for playing Zieg Combrink on the M-Net soap opera "Binnelanders" from 2005 to 2006. He was born in Roodepoort, South African, on November 4, 1960. After high school and military service, he made his stage debut in the play "The Three der Walts," which inspired him to go back to school and get a degree in drama at the University of Cape Town, though he only completed the first year of the three-year program. The first ten years of his career were consumed with theater productions. He made his TV debut in 1993 with "Triptiek 1." his film credits include "City of Blood" (1983), "On the Wire" (1990), "Tarzan and the Lost City" (1998), "Malan en Kie" (2008) and the American big-budget action movie "Vehicle 19" (2013).
