A Japanese actress and voice actress, born in Nagoya, Japan. She practiced swimming while attending elementary school and worked as a model in high school, then graduated from the Junior College of Japan Women's University of Nutrition. She is known for Princess Mononoke (1997) and From Up on Poppy Hill (2011).
