He is an Iraqi-Kurdish director, born in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. He left Kurdistan with his family at an early age, during the war in Iraq, to arrive in Sweden. There, he studied directing at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated in 2010. In the same year, he won the Student Oscar for his graduation film. He is known for Bekas (2012) and Trading Paint (2019). |
