A Scottish writer and producer, born on September 16, 1939 in Elgin, Scotland, United Kingdom as Allan George Shiach. In 2021, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series for The Queen's Gambit. His works include Don't Look Now, The Witches, and Kon-Tiki.
